Detailed Description

Human relationships, as well as larger human communities, largely function on the basis of the exercise of power, by means of which persons are often limited, controlled, directed, excluded, used, and oppressed. We will look at various kinds of power which characterize ordinary humanand specifically genderrelationships. Against that background, this workshop explores the way in which the Incarnation, and the life and teaching of Jesus, challenge human power relationships and empower a new kind of humanity where over-under power categories are transformed by the power of serving love.
