Detailed Description
|
Throughout Church history, women have been denied teaching and leadership positions for reasons based, often, on particular interpretations of three New Testament passages written by the apostle Paul (1 Tim. 2:1115, 1 Cor. 14:34, Eph. 5:22). This workshop offers a better understanding of Paul's view of women by examining the social context of Paul's conversion and his work beside women and slaves such as Priscilla, Junia, Phoebe, Chloe, Nympha, and the Elect Lady. It also considers the theological significance of passages such as Galatians 3:28.
