Detailed Description

When my children first went away to college they were shocked to be confronted with gender inequality in a Christian context. They said to me, "Mum, we know you believe women should be allowed to minister, teach and lead alongside men, but we don't know why you believe it." This lecture is my response to them, a journey seen through Jewish eyes, to explore God's heart and intention for half the human species, so often made to feel as if they were his afterthought. This lecture is a romp through the Scriptures, from Genesis to Revelation, and then through history, discovering and celebrating the wonder that is woman as she takes her place beside men in writing the story of God's love for all the people he has made.
