HELEN CLIFTON
is Territorial President of Women's Ministries and has been a Salvation Army officer since 1973, ministering in partnership with her husband, Commissioner Shaw Clifton. Helen and Shaw's service has taken them to Africa, the United States, Pakistan, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga. They have worked together in pastoral, administrative, preaching and teaching roles. In the course of their travels, they have always encouraged full participation by men and women in the church, and in 1984 they jointly edited a book Growing Together about marriage and family life.
