Detailed Description
|
Alan Johnson describes some modern-day concepts of justice according to right- and left-wing liberals, and then also challenges those views with the question of how they hold up to the biblical view of justice. A short discussion of the components of the modern understanding of gender follows. Examples from the gospels show how Jesus' conception of holiness as the extending of wholeness to the unclean (rather than holiness as the protection of purity) illustrates Jesus' desire to heal gender injustices.
