This Occasional Paper addresses the foundations for men and women in ministry partnerships around the world. The contributors offer biblical, theological, historical, sociological, and missiological support for empowering men and women's shared ministry, and propose action steps for engaging the spiritual gifts of women and men in service to Christ.

The 2004 Lausanne Committee for World Evangelism's Gender Forum on Empowering Women and Men to Utilize their Gifts Together for the Spread of the Gospel (Issue Group No. 24) included over 30 international participants and was convened by Mimi Haddad with Lorry Lutz and Juliet Thomas.
