Detailed Description

Paul, as a Pharisee of Pharisees, had a very structured, hierarchical perspective of the world in which Jews were closer to God than Gentiles, freemen rightly lorded over slaves, and men were more valuable than women. His encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus changed all that. As his heart was set free by the gospel, he preached a transforming message that challenged Jews and Gentiles alike. He began to preach, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Gal 3:28). This is the same message that will bring transforming freedom to Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists—indeed to all those who are lost in the world today.
