The Veiling of Women in the Traditional Church by Barbara Boone Wooten
|
Detailed Description
Men and women should be able to tap into God's best practices without the
limitations and constraints of man-made restrictive thoughts and theories. It
is surprising that "a woman's place" in the kingdom of God is still an issue in
the twenty-first century. But, sadly, it is.
Sexism is denounced in the workplace, so why hasn't it been in the church? For
the most part, sexism in many traditional church denominations is hidden behind
the doctrine of male authority and female subordination.
Destiny Denied discusses the full ramification of subordination and its impact
on women, but it is not a condemnation of men or women who have a traditional
belief system. It does, however, provide scriptural answers for those who
believe that a woman should not be restricted to a limited role within the
church and home.
